That is exactly the score you should be getting. I had one once, with almost the same setup as you, SDRAM, 1.1Ghz AMD. Because the MX440 isnt a DX8.1 card, it cannot run all of the tests in Mad Onion, and this greatly hinders the score that it can acheive. There are cards out there to be had at the same price that have pixel shaders and do EMBM......ect...unfortunatley people by the MX 440 because it says GeForce4 on it, but in fact, It's only a higher clocked GeForce2, and has been the subject of many debates across the web. All is not bad though, mine overclocked like a maddog and was worth what I paid for it. It was from Visiontek, and the quality was outstanding. I have seen some really crappy models coming from some vendors though. My father has one of those, when I removed the heatsink on it to install a crystal orb, the chip said MX440-SE, so I checked the web and found out that the SE model is an ultra cheapo model that has mega low clock speeds and uses cheapo memory, you dont have one of THOSE cards do you?

The max I got from the card was 6600 and that was putting case fans on my video card and clocking to the max.
But that was with an old system also a 1.1 ghz also.

Yes, that sounds about right for that card and a Pentium III 866. Which is about the same speed as a Pentium 4 Williamette 1.5 with SDRAM.
