Graphics comparison?

Hi everyone
i was thinking of getting a new laptop to replace my aging nv78. while looking, i noticed that there are many that use intel hd 3000 for the graphics. is this chip identical to the desktop intel hd hd 3000? my desktop is currently running hd 2000 in a pentium g850, and seems to be pretty powerful....

It's not a bad video chip, but don't get it if you plan on playing any new games at past low-med settings. It's pretty much the same as the desktop chip.
