Tried it on my P4 2.4Ghz with 1Gb DDR333 an a GF4 Ti4600 on got a score of 1535. Damn, I was so used to my 12000+ 3DMark 2001 result
I'm now just wondering how many months must pass until the second and third gametest run smoothly at 50+ FPS...
wow that's site's packed! I dling it right now from a different source, let's check this biatch out! Hmm, turn on gf5 emulation mode?

I'm not looking forward to running that benchmark. I know that once I run it I'll want to upgrade yet again! Resist the urge, resist the urge...

I know, and if the bench does not have representative performance of current games, and rather stresses so much for little points, it needs some retooling.
Though when I recall, when 3dMark 2001 came out, best cards got about 4000 pts, until geForce 3s came in.
Problem is that current '03 has DX9 in it, and there are already DX9 cards, so technically DX9 cards should yeild well over 6000 points.

I tried it out and got around 3500 marks with an Athlon 1.0GHZ and 9500pro. Its hard to believe some of the stuff is actaully 3d, especially the demos they got a weird blur to them. And the ragtroll test made me LMAO!
I cant oc in this benchmark more then a few MHZ or it bluescreans. Kinda crappy because i run my ti4200 card defaultly at 300/575 ,but it blue screans at that, stupided, there are no artifects when i run real games an it never freazes hmm.

This 171 MB download will take hell ammount of time with my 33.6 kbps dial-up connection. In fact, I've never downloaded such huge file from with my dial-up. My last record was 138 MB. Now I'm going to break the record.
BTW, how much score I can expect from 3D Mark 2003? 200 to 300?
My specs:- Duron 1 GHz, nForce 420-D, nForce IGP-128, 224 MB RAM.

My radeon9700pro is still on an RMA vacation but is due back next week sometime. My TNT2 m64 wont run 3dmark03 heh, but all the 9700's seems to be scoring over 4k and some 5k.
Many of the people at the futuremark forums own 4200's and are goin foaming at the mouth mad in some cases from such low scores, 1k - 2k. Some argument about pixel shader 1.4 and 8500's, oh and ofrcourse the unfairness of it all. hah. Many are STILL antiously awaiting the geforceFX 3dmark03 scores over there.

1208!! with your setup!!?
man, that means i'll be getting 3 digits numbers
Ya, I got about 1500 marks with a 1900+, 256MB of CAS2 PC133 SDRAM and a Geforce4 ti 4200 @295/645...
I feel a major upgrading frenzy settling in soon...

Im looking forward to a score of 1000 with my AXP 2200+ (1800 @ 144x12.5) and an overclocked GF4 Ti4200. O well, im looking forward to seeing what it looks like.

Ha yeah 3dmark03 does make it very tempting to upgrade. When newer *real* games start to run choppy I'll probably upgrade to the fastest sub $200 card out.
I got it and am not impressed. It doesn't seem like it would run well on ANY system.

The only place i managed to get it from was fileshack. You have to wait about an hour before it starts but once it does you get upto 100k download. I got about 1,580 on my GF4 and AXP 2000+ fully overclock. IMHO it doesnt look as good as the old one, tbh the graphics dont look that good (not on my monitor anyway) and in the second two games I was getting constantly under 10fps.
<A HREF="http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=5467618 " target="_new">Almost Breaking 12k!!</A>
I was disappointed with my score too. Oh well. My setup is p4 2.4, 512 PC-1066, 8IHXP2, Audigy and a R-9700 Pro. With all the settings and textures maxed out in the ATI control panel i got about 1656. With all the settings on default in the ATI control panel i got 4700. This is comparing to my 14000+ on 3DMark 2001. I love the demos, they are really sweet and run fine without AA and Aniso. It just sux because jaggies and blurries. When I lower texture quality and enable 4X AA and 8X Aniso it gets choppy, same with 2X aniso. Kinda sux. No more maxing out graphics.
Damn, 3DMark03 is brutal! I got a score of 1134. XP 2600, R8500 (64 MB), 512 MB PC 2700. Some of the tests dropped down to 2 or 3 frames/sec.
I get about 9200 on 3DMark 2001 SE.
Depressing.
"I'm a man armed with a fork in a land of soup."
Problem is, it stresses to a point we're wondering if it represents at all current and upcoming DX9 games.
If it's any telling of performance of them, at under 10FPS, then I'd say to the game dev: The hell with you and your low performing game!
If the R9700PRO cannot handle the upcoming games so smoothly, it's gonna be a scary while people.
Hopefully Doom III is a stresser but that shows how proper coding makes excellent graphics and effects with some very nice frame rates on older cards.

i'm currently running pc2100 ram, soon to be pc2700 ram, and a new cpu should be commin in the next month (when i get the cashflow)
"What kind of idiot are you?"
"I don't know, what kinds are there?"
Well, I just got it downloaded from fileplanet.com, and it puts my system to its knees,
but I also got 3dmark99 downloaded, so that score should cheer me up!
BTW, anybody who cant get it downloaded, just search kazaa for my name, lonemage2003, I have the install file shared.

It's MEANT to bring ur system to its knees, that's the whole point. I mean that scene w/ the fightin- game devs could optimise it every which way and prolly make ur fps 20x higher. Yay! I broke 1100 w/ my Quadro DCC and 1.2Ghz system. Not bad for a 2 year old comp!

Remember that the CPU in this program is barely gonna make a difference. Your card is probably starting to show its weakness. I got 870 Marks with 2 users open in Windows XP while downloading, on an AthlonXP 1.4GHZ, 512MB DDR, and a Ti200. I would expect a bit more with little opened, but overall, it's pretty much expected.
I do think it could've been more optimized though, however the sound test with the plane war was awesome, and the demo as well. Anyone else could not run the demos after the first? I'd only get a screen with one color switching, and 3d Mark written on the top right. I wonder if it just won't process this much, due to the addition of sound in those very strainy tests, 2 and 3.
And did anyone check to see if the second test was using Doom III's engine?
It sure sounded so similar. But I doubt it for the sole reason that Carmack stated he was optimizing a lot, and I expect performance to be much higher with id's excellent graphics programmers.

Tom's has a new thing on 3d mark. It's purposefully made to use an unoptimized method. BTW, my epenis is bigger than urs
. I wuv my system, 2 years and it's still worth something.

My Ti4200 too, no matter how I over-clock, I couldn't get it pass 1700. I used to get about 11K in 3DMark2001SE.
I wanna know how people r getting over 2k w/ gf 3's and like xp 1700's. Seems impossible to me, especially @ 1024x768.
"If everything seems under control, you're just not going fast enough."

I don't think so man...the game 2 and 3 test drop down to less than 5fps for my Ti4200 even on my P4 1.9GHz. So GF 3 should be less.
P4 2.4@ 2.9ghz, Mushkin PC2700 @ 400mhz 2-5-2-2, GA-8PE667 Ultra, Radeon9700 Pro, WD800JB x2 (RAID 0).......3DMark03: 5112
....my lastest bench. I was going to bench with everything at stock as well to see how much the CPU would affect the score, but in light of the new findings posted at THG already, I won't do this.
I will say that the CPU clock did have some affect of course, but not much at all.
-- the Doc
I believe the overall score is actually being truthful to real life.
The Ti4600 does get a score about twice my Ti200, while an R300 is 5 times that. In reality it is also this powerful when no AA or Aniso is used.
However reading that article on THG about 3d Mark03, I just wonder and hope that it isn't the end for FutureMark's business. Maybe they can work on making same engine tests next time, and perhaps bundle real game tests as well. (rather than launch each game by itself, and get the console commands ready for a demotest)

ti cards suck in the test, but thats no wonder.
and eveyone crying that they had over 10000 marks before, and now they have much less.. think, dudes, its just numbers.. they could've set it to 10000 at your system settings as well, but whats the gain? now we wanna break 10000 in this test..
i remember how 3dmark01 ran on my system when it was out
btw, i have something between 3 and 4 thousand points.. while i normally only have 8000 points on 3dmark01.. my cpu, but espencially the mainboard (-settings) are terrible currently, so i loose very much in this. but the radeon9700pro performs well nontheless..

Woah! Since my system only pulls 3500 3D Marks2001, I'm anticipating MAYBE 800 from my GeForce2Pro and 1.2ghz P3... lol. I never worried about my penis size. I always knew it was small

?! <--- indicates clueless excitement.
The 3DMark review on this site was beyond terrible and along with the GeForceFX review just shows how dellusional this site has become with regards to NVIDIA.
Most of the review was snippets from NVIDIA themselves... why does the big N have so much to say about 3DMark yet so very, very little to say about their own GeForceFX??? What's wrong here? 3DMark doesn't hide the fact that it's a synthetic benchmark test. PS 1.4 support is built into directx, it's a dx8 feature so it's obviously fair game for measurement, just because NVIDIA for whatever reason doesn't support it in their previous cards doesn't mean Futuremark should take the blame, if anything it's helping to expose a critical weakness in the NVIDIA line.
I still dont' favour 3DMark 2003, it's just the article written about it on this site is absurdly biased and idiotic. Hardly any mention of ATI and other products... just like the GFFX review this ones a total joke... I'm steering far clear of this site for anything video card related from now on it, the bias is unbelievable... I wonder why they didn't let ATI comment to the same legnths NVIDIA did...

I got <font color=red>74</font color=red> 3DMARKS (MAX 4 FPS)!
And I thought I got 743 but the 3 in the end is from 3DMARK.
You should learn to anticipate 10 times worse whenever you expect something
!
Expect much much less friend. My Ti200 on a 1.4GHZ AthlonXP CPU only gets me 870 points.
Try that with non-DirectX 8 hardware, and you can dream on!

Come on, if I can pull over 1100 3d marks, so should you! U even got a faster cpu- oc ur card!

Just got it, with my oc'd radeon 9500 Pro (360 core, 320 memory) and catalyst 3.1 i got 4054. Didn't see CPU score anywhere, though. Are catalyst 3.1's better than 2.5?
If its not broken, you're not trying hard enough.
That is a beast of an overclock! What did you use to do it?Have you added anything, i.e. ramsinks etc.?
no matter how hard you try, you can't polish a turd. :]
Is it me or does it make any sense that the disparity between an R9500PRO and an R9700PRO is over 1000 points?
It's bit mixed up IMO.
And yeah, CPU has a much lower role now in the test. It proves as well, that companies should STOP HIRING MONKEYS to program, and get games like Aquanox and benchmarks like 3dMark 03 which know how to friggin take the load off the CPU and let cards do their full time job! CPU intensive work should be for AI and AI only.
Let them 800MHZ PIII owners still enjoy their systems without the need of a spanking 3.06GHZ P4 to play Commanche 4!

I put some huge ramsinks on it (from a p2 heat sink and a dremel) and have a case fan blowing right on the AGP slot. On the 9700/9500 series the stock coolers on the VPU are quite good.
