What brand 9700 pro to get?

I am in the market for ATI 9700 pro. I've noticed that there are a couple of ati 9700 produced by different manufactures (powered by ati)? Is there a difference or are they same, example crucial, hurcles, ATI....?

Rig: P4 2.8, 1gig ddr 333, GeForce 3 ti200 (new card needed)!

Well i like the red ones myself, i think there is black and blue aswell. They are all pretty similar and there is no real "bad" choice.The Tachyon G9700 PRO would have to be the best one however, the ATI webpage was actually advertising its ability to overclock to 400mhz I think. My old BBA 9700pro wouldnt go past 350 before it blew up but ATI RMA'd me a new one ill be getting it tomorrow! go me!

I think the ATI warranty is better, and that's about the only difference.

I too have been looking for an ATI 9700 Pro. Most prices are around $320-330 for Sapphire and around $350 for ATI. But I did find some for less than $300.

I got a Hercules 3D Prophet 9700 Pro for SGD$630, is around USD$300 and it comes with a 3 year warranty and great bundle software.

My PC has gone to hell... because it's a killing machine...

I wouldn't buy from anyone with a rating of less than 9...or 8 at the very least from resellerratings.com.

Last I checked...

You'll see that gameve has a 5.84
buy extremegear has a 7.20

Compare that to place like newegg and allstarshop who nearly have a 10
