I'm really torn between the two, one I'll save roughly 100$ if I go with the Acer, however the GPU in the HP is a bit better. Not sure about the processors, IIRC an i3 and a AMD quad core are very similar, I might be wrong though. The HP is also re-certified so I could get a lemon. Thoughts?

  1. I'm kind of on a budget, I'm trying to keep it under 500$ but the HP is a very good deal, I'm just wondering if I should bite the bullet.

Buy an Amd A6 if you are on a budget. The low clocked quad core is unlocked and over-volted. You are able to over-clock and still undervolt to keep the processor cool and the battery life up. Lots of info online-use K10stat. Then you'll get a decent gpu (320 cores) and save money.

Seems like a very good buy. Thoughts?
  4. The last one you posted is the best, so far. Having the dedicated vram is huge in gaming performane.

Just make sure to get the extended warranty.

Also, check the sales on www.TigerDirect.com or Provantage.com
