Brand new aspire one d257 no bootable disk

Brand New Aspire One D257, first try to boot. Right after the Aspire screen, it stops and the error message states that PXE-E61: Media test failure, check cable and No bootable device--insert boot disk and press any key. I re-booted and went into the BIOS and under the Hard Drive it says "None". Does anyone have any ideas?

Take it back and get a replacement
  2. Thanks. I guess that is the best option. I'm assuming the hard drive must have gotten damaged when it shipped to the store.
  3. Well, something isn't right and you paid for a product that is right.

Sounds like the drive wasn't properly formatted or is merely bad. Either way you paid for a working product and should expect no less
