Brand New Aspire One D257, first try to boot. Right after the Aspire screen, it stops and the error message states that PXE-E61: Media test failure, check cable and No bootable device--insert boot disk and press any key. I re-booted and went into the BIOS and under the Hard Drive it says "None". Does anyone have any ideas?

Take it back and get a replacement

Thanks. I guess that is the best option. I'm assuming the hard drive must have gotten damaged when it shipped to the store.

Well, something isn't right and you paid for a product that is right.

Sounds like the drive wasn't properly formatted or is merely bad. Either way you paid for a working product and should expect no less
