Is this possible? Everytime I drop a file onto the send to handheld
icon in mac OSX Tiger, it always converts the files to Mpg, but the
videos were in Mp4 format. Mp4 videos are much smaller and frankly have
better quality.

Thanks,

John

Since you're basically repeating your post, let me repeat mine.

What application are you using?
What handheld are you using?

MP4 = MPEG4. Is it possible that there was no conversion, and that mpg on
your files is the same as mp4?

Do you know for sure that a conversion has taken place?

No Mp4 is not the same as MPG. I do not have a screen movie app to show
you, but whenever I drop a MP4 video onto the "send to handheld" icon on
my desktop (macintosh) they are converted to the Mpg format. Mpg files
take up much more disk space than the Mp4 format. A conversion does
take place, because when I drop Mpg files they are installed. A 20MB
MP4 video takes like 20 minutes to convert into Mpg
