u know....funny thing is...when i was checking what other guys got with my same setup at futuremark...i came across this " aj@madonion.com "with my EXACT SAME RIG...except for the video card...he had the 9700PRO..i have the Radeon64MBDDRVIVO(equivalent to 7200).......
As u've seen.......my score is 89....HIS SCORE IS 4150!!!!!!!
How can that be...
Both of us have a P41.5GHZ on an 850chipset with 256RDRAM??
The reason for the difference is simple, it's 3dmark, not sysmark. It's heavily weighted on the GPU, not CPU. My roomate has a dual AMD 2000+ rig with a r9000 (non pro) and he scored below 1k. But that's not surprising really.
People here wonder why a ti4600 pales when up against an ATI 9500 or 9700 and that's because they can't complete the full test. While the CPU played a bigger factor last time around on 3dmark 2k1se it's not so big a deal now, although you will see a difference, but only along the same or similar GPUs. I'm still waiting to see scores for a Matrox Para.
The moral of the story is get better graphics card if you want to impress your friends with your benchmark scores (or see test 4) or stick with what you've got if it suites your current gaming needs, these shortcomings won't be an issue for quite some time (think Doom III release).
BTW, CPU's SHOULD only be relevant in things like character AI and mapping, graphics should be left to the GPU, unless we get some killer CPUs out there and PCI-X/3GIO interfaces that will take ALL the work.
Just my two loonies worth.

Yes, it's funny how CPUs make so little difference now. Any score over 4000 is usually extremly good.
You should also keep in mind that your card is DX7, only runs 1 test of the 4 game tests.
So you really are at a huge disadvantage. You could've gained another 100 or 200 if you could run all tests, albeit at a frame rate that could crown PowerPoint Slideshows as "smooth"!

LOL
Before i check out people's 3dmark2003 numbers i must cut and paste the following:
<i>"That's right f00ls, 3DMark 2003 is out, and the internet has slowed to a crawl as everyone tries to DL the new ruler so they can measure their ePenis and brag to their friends."</i> Sourced from The Gaming Geeks Coalition.

<i>"Certian financial adjustments may be required"</i> - AOL+TW.
Eden actually since it's tax return time I was talking about the only loonies I have left in my Piggy Bank, The Chocolate kind. Mmmm the Land of Chocolate. BTW has anyone thought of liquid cooling with Quick? Mmm hot chocolate on an overclocked Xp2400+, in less than 60 seconds. Anyone for marshmallowes? Ok enough Tom-foolery;
Now back to the Wall...

You know, no score is the same on scales.
Just because the new 3dMark gives you 1000 points, doesn't mean compared to the 12K in 2001, you suck. Not at all. Futuremark can choose to scale the new one with lower points, just like they can inflate the value per test, so current cards, can get over 10000 in the new one. In a way, that would have meant that a score of 200 points in Sysmark means the system blows, when in fact it is not, it's all based on the points scale value of the tests.

Though, my Ti200 scores 870 points, I can't help but wonder if the R8500 is scoring more than the Ti500 here. And also, what was its retail stock clock speed for core and memory?
