Hi,

I'm trying to install a Sapphire ATI Radeon 9500 128MB card on a ASUS P2B-S motherboard. When I boot up after installation,

my monitor shows several wide white vertical lines on a black backgound.

It seems like Windows XP is booting OK, but I can't be 100% sure since the display is not working. Any ideas on what could be wrong? Or more important, how can I make it work?

PS:

I have not been able to test the graphic card on another PC, so I don't know if it is broken. But my guess is that the card is good, but my configuration is bad...

It's probably a power issue. Some early boards had them. You might find a solution by running a jumper wire from the 3.3v input on the ATX connection to the 3.3v output on the AGP slot along the back of the board.

Oh, if your card came with a 4-pin power cable header, make certain you use it!
