Hello all,
I've got a new Tungsten E2 and I'm unable to move files to it. I've
been able to install new software and sync data, but when I want to
move new JPEGs or PDFs to the device, they aren't appearing. I'm
running OSX and I drag the files to the "Send to Handheld" "droplet"
where it seems to process them and format them. It says the files will
appear on my Palm in the next sync, but they never seem to. For
example, I add jpegs, then goto Media and they aren't there.

Do you have an SD card? Generally speaking, the only files that Palms
store in their main memory .prc and .pdb files (respectively, Palm
applications and databases). For everything else, Palms use SD cards. Get
yourself an SD card and card reader. Then you'll be able to drag and drop
files to your heart's content.

A couple of things. If you have documents to go, you can use that to
transfer files. Also once you have used the droplet you can see where the
Palm application has stored the file and make sure it makes sense. The
directory structure (under your used area I think) is pretty logical so
you can move the file into a different folder for transfer to SD card.
