I have a 2x video card and a motherboard that says 4x agp slot...stuff. I am wondering if I could put the 2x in the motherboard and all would work well, or are they not backwards compadable...sis305(i know it sucks) graphics card and a K7S5A motherboard..thanks in advance for your advice

Correct me if I'm wrong. But aren't there some 2x cards that operate at 3.3 volts instead of the 1.5v required by AGP 4x? So the card might damage your mobo.

You shouldn't have responded to him, he's the one who asked the original question, you've probably scared him with such a powerfull suggestion. And the answer is no, the K7S5A was introduced back in the days when all AGP4x boards were AGP2x card compatable.
