I greatly prefer Spybot - Search & Destroy 1.2 over any offerings from Lavasoft ... and they didn't leave users without up-to-date protection for months on end, just because they were supposedly too busy developing a new program version to be able to continue support for anyone still running v5.83.

If I was using an AntiVirus that did the same thing, regardless of whether it was freeware or retail software, that would be the last time I associated with the company. Spyware is no joke, and I'd much rather voluntarily donate a dollar or two to Spybot R&D than wait for the boys at Lavasoft to pull the same stunt again sometime in the future.

Just tried spybot it is great! But I'm keeping Ad-aware6.0 on my PC as well because one seems to miss spam that the other doesn't. Between the two one should have a fairly clean computer!

Definitely agree with Toey, Spybot found things Adaware didn't even know was on the machine, and unlike Adaware, Spybot has update features to keep it current, as new spyware comes out.

Thanks, Ryan. Good to see you, too.

I'm doing fairly well, and life is starting to resume something that resembles a normal course, so I hope to be spending a bit more time around the forums.

I hope that you are doing fine, and that the world is treating you decently.
