Milk in USB port

Hello, I spilled milk and a little landed on my laptop. Luckily it was not on or even plugged in and the lid was closed so I only got some of it in the USB port on the side. I dabbed up what liquid I could, then put it on it's side (USB side facing down) for a couple of hours. Then took a look and it appeared to be drained and dried. I took some compressed air and blew in the port. (I was thinking if there was excess in there it would help to remove it and dry it up.) I've not turned back on or plugged it back in for fear of ruining it. I was wondering if there was anything I should do before I use it again. Thank you.

Maybe take the side of a napkin or paper towel and stick the end in to see if it can absorb anything that might still be in there.

It's fine. USB ports are current limited so even if a small amount were to short the circuits it would be difficult for it to cause damage
