3DMark problems

I downloaded 3DMark03 recently & decided to give it a go. The first benchmark went along just fine, however during the second test, my system sortof hanged. The system was still running, except that the monitor's power LED would start blinking. Pressing keys on the keyboard didn't do anything either. It kept doing so every single time I run it (even during prolonged cooling periods), so i was wondering what could be causing this?

My specs are:
AthlonXP 1700+
256MB PC2100
Asus A7V266C mobo
Inno3D GeForce4 Ti4200 w/64MB
Windows98
DirectX9 installed

As for the NVidia drivers, well im not sure, but here's whats displayed in the GF4 properties (4.13.01.4109).

I suspect that my GF card is overheating, but Im not too sure of that, since nothing in my system is overclocked. My CPU on the other hand is just fine. Any ideas?

BIOS/AGP/IDE drivers = check
VIA drivers = check
DirectX = check
NVidia drivers = my current one seems fine, i didnt want to install newer drivers since i suspect something strange happening with them (questionable 3DMark2001 scores, etc...). It shouldn't be a driver issue IMO.

As for my power supply, if i remember correctly, its rated at 350W. I dont think its this either, else i wouldve noticed something with other applications (Quake3, JK2, 3DMark2001, UT2003, Freelancer, etc..).
