Got a POW TI-4200 128 mb card. When checking the info about my card it reports only 64 mb RAM ?? At POST the card says 128 mb, but no matter which tool I run (Scisoft, DR. Hardware or 3DMark) I get the same info - only 64 mb RAM ??!! Any idears ??
Oh - when running 3DMark2003 I only get 1280 as to simular systems getting 1800. I doubt that tweaking (not oc) can accomplish this ??

Specs:
MB: ASUS P4PE
RAM: 512 MB DDR PC-2700 (Green Memory)
GC: Point of View G4 TI-4200 128 mb RAM
OS: WIN XP PRO SP1
GC Driver: Detonator 41.09

I've got a PNY GeForce4 Ti4600, and it's been going fine until I swapped my motherboard (an ABIT AT7-Max2) for another of the same. Then I get this problem with it showing only 32 megs of ram instead of the 128 it has. After some finagling I get it to show 64 megs, but I still can't get it to show or perform at 128. I'v ebeen everywhere and no one's got a line on this problem yet.

MB : ABIT AT7-Max2
RAM: 1024M Crucial DDR 2100
VC : PNY Verto GeForce4 ti4600
OS : XP Pro sp1
Driver : Various detonator versions.

Maybe a Video BIOS problem. Have you tried reflash the BIOS?

You never know how stupid you are until you have done something stupid enough for you to realize it.

No I havent; frankly I was unaware that it was flashable.
Where would I go to get an updated bios file & flash utility?

Look on your manufacturer's website. I run a Leadtek GF4 Ti4200 and they have a flash utility and bios files availible for download.

The aim of military training is not just to prepare men for battle, but to make them long for it. MY SYSTEM

Unfortunately I've got a PNY; their site has little in the way of anything advanced. I searched through it in its entirety over the past 2 days, and can't find anything related to BIOS or even mentioning flashing. I've considered their lifetime warranty, but it figures that I don't have the receipt anymore.

Well with PNY you don't get any BIOS flashes. I wrote to their tech. support on my PNY card. SiSoft Sandra tells me my card needs a BIOS flash on my old computer. I have a Geforec 2 Ultra in that machine. So I searched such as you did, then wrote to them. I wish I still had the email I'd post it for you, but the gist of it was: They don't provide or support BIOS flashes on PNY cards. Said it would void the warranty, like I give a rip on that old of card. They told me that the Nvidia web site might have one, but that's all they said. Since I've searched Nvidia's web site many times & come up with nada. So that's about as far as I've been able to get with it. I'll follow this thread to see if it will take me anywhere else along with you.

If it ain't broke, take it apart & see why not!

Hey people, I heard that you may try set your AGP aperture size from 64mb to 128mb to correct the relative issue.
I read it somewhere in the net that this is a problem due to RAM size of 512mb.

A fine day!
