I just bought P4 2.53GHz, MSI SIS 648 MainBoard, 512 333MHz...

Was thinking about sticking with my GeForce 3 card for a little while...

am I not going to notice much of a difference from upgrading from a 1.4GHz AMD if I stay with the same Video Card?

Also, I know this has probably been asked a million times but I was considering ATI 9700...should I go pro or not?....is it worth the extra $$$?

if you go from 1.4 ghz to 2.53ghz and have same video card, what do you wanna see a difference in?

Most likely no difference in playing games, it might run alittle more smoother with that extra power, but not better quality..

and your system overall would benefit, like in regular applications...

Your GF3 will definetly bottleneck your system. The Pro version of the 9700 is definetly worth the extra cash. Before you upgrade just to get better benchmark numbers, use the GF3 until it won't allow you to play the games you want to play. That way you'll get the max use out of that card and the 9700 will have dropped in price a little. Don't give away that GF3 because lots of people with mid level systems are looking for one (sell it and recover some money).
