Is it true that a slower hard drive will limit the graphics card? It sounds logical but how much could it actualy slow it down.

I have a Geforce 4 ti 4400
asus p4s533 w/ 512 ddr333
P4 1.6
and games still lag. My only guess is that it is cause my HD is old and is a 5400 rpm. If this is not bottle necking my system, what could be?

thanks for the help

A slower drive will only make the game load slower. There are some instances where a game wont be able to load completely in memory, and the hard disk must be accessed during gameplay, but this rarely happens. If you have a good amount of system/video memory, I wouldnt concern yourself.
