Please explain. What are the difference in video cards that make one card more suitable for one over another? Why is the Parahelia better for Photoshop and the ATI 9800 better for games. Thanks.

Well, the differentiators are:

1. display quality (How good images look), and
2. 3d chipset performance (How fast it can run games)

The Parahelia has excellent display quality, but the 3d chipset performance is definitely substandard when you consider the price of the card.

The Radeon 9800 has excellent display quality as well, but most reviewers say that the Matrox cards are slightly better. On the other hand, the 9800's 3d chipset performance rocks the Kazbah.
