Hi everyone, i would be very grateful if you could recommend any of the power supplies that you have or others that you know are reliable and are most likely up to the job for my system, currently i only have 300watts which i think will not be enough if i buy a radeon 9700pro.

My system specs are

Athlon xp2600+
Asus A7N8X (non deluxe)
2x 512mb PC2700 Kingston ram
Maxtor 40gb hdd 7200rpm
Ati radeon 7200 (soon to be 9700 or 9700pro)
Toshiba 16x DVD
Plextor CDRW
PCi modem + floppy + zip 100.

Thanks

antec truepower 380W or 430W, the 380 would probably do but you can check here for a better estimate. i'd want room for future upgrades and i'd like to be sure i could supply enough power for my current rig, so i'd go bigger for a few more bucks
the enermax 350W (labelled 365) and the 431W (labelled 465) are equally good choices
get a name brand one for maximum reliability and stability

I personally have the Antec TruePower 430W. It is a great PS and is quieter than most 400+ that ive seen. My specs are below, you can judge by that I guess.

Barton 2500+
Asus A7V333-X/L
1x 512MB PC2700 Crucial
IBM 30GB deskstar 75GXP
GF4 4200 128MB 8X
Asus 52x CD-ROM
Lite-On 52x-24x-52x CD-RW/R
Floppy
SB Live

Thats about it I guess.

Crap, all the good ones are already taken.

Thanks to both for your help, i will look into it. Just one more thing, are all power units the same size as i do not want to buy one and find out it does not fit my case.

Thanks

All ATX power supplies will fit ATX cases. I run the enermax 365 (350W) and it's quiet and stable but if I were you I'd go to the next level up to ensure you have enough power for future upgrades. Also look for a PSU with two fans (bottom and back).
