ATI 9700 AIW Fan

I just got my new ATI 9700 Radeon All In Wonder and I noticed that it has a fan alraedy mounted on it.

Is this good? I've read a number of people complain about the 9700 and the heat that it generates. Mind you I am not an overclocker, nor do I play games, though I have thought of picking up MS Flight Simulator.

Most newer video cards have fans on them. All 9700 class cards do.

Frankly I am a bit surprised you find the presence of a fan being odd, where have you been?!

Also, will you be using your new AIW for media work?
Mind you, buying such an extravagantly priced card has to have at least some gaming reserved on the side, because otherwise you could've simply picked a cheaper Radeon 7500 AIW which offers the same level of media work, but costs much much less, and is suited for this kind of work, than gaming.
