I installed one of those for a cust, he had MS Air Commander, aces over the pacific, the joystick worked fine, but do you think I could get the plane airborne, I hit a shed, run into the ocean, hit a hill, then I gave up, LOL
I've got Saitek X36 Joystick/throttle combo... doesn't have force-feedback, but it has everything else and THEN some... just the absolute coolest things around... OK, the shape is either awesome or a bit too futuristic, depending on taste, but the functionality is unparalleled! :-)
Believe me, this is better!
My neighbour has the first one , and its uggly and its BIG, and the second edition has a much metter feel in your hand!
But the 2 are the best ones there is!
Better burn in Hell with some company than freeze in Heaven all alone
I have a Gravis Xtreme Dual control joystick. It doesn't have force feedback but it is very nice.
It has a small track ball on the left side for my thumb on my left hand and this little ball allows me to be more accurate in games like UT and Quake 3, even more accurate than the mouse. I know you will find that hard to believe but its true.
Most people will stop playing UT with me when they find out what joystick I am using, they say its the same as cheating because I have such an unfair advantage.
-Gimme oysters and beer for dinner everyday of the year and I'll feel fine.
