For the same price would you get:
-Albatron Ti4800SE (275MHz) w/ 3.3ns memory (@ 600MHz).
or
-Sapphire Radeon 9500pro DX9 (250MHz) w/ 3.6ns (@ 540MHz).
???

Well, the Ti4800 is gonna be a LITTLE faster in MOST (dont flame me people!) games, NOT including DX 9 and maybe advanced DX 8.1 titles.
I would say get the 9500 pro just so youre ready for the future (dx 9).
the 9500 is also faster when using aniso/AA.
but without aa/aniso the ti4800 is a little faster.
ok im like contradicting myself.
i guess im trying to defend my ti4400 that i currently have, but i should get my 9800 pro sometime next week so i shouldnt really care.
but the fact is the ti4400/4800 is a little faster in most things when not using aniso/aa, including ut2k3.
BUT the 9500 pro supports dx 9 and is faster when using aniso/AA, so
GET THE 9500 PRO DAMNIT, OK!!!

Long live ATI.

Willamette is simply wrong. The R9500Pro is always as fast or faster than the Ti4800SE in 99% of games.

EDIT: Check this link out. The R9500Pro constantly outperforms the Ti4400 (a.k.a. Ti4800SE) with it's first shipping drivers. ATI has already improved performance slightly with the Catalyst 3.2 drivers and in a couple of weeks time, ATI has promised huge (and I mean HUGE, HUGE, HUGE!) performance improvements in all the R9xxx line. At this moment in time, there absolutely no reason to get a GeForce card.

Yeah, Ti4800SE is just a Ti4400 with AGP 8X, but it still can't compete with 9500Pro in most of cases. So I recommend you get the Sapphire Radeon 9500pro.

k first of all he said the memory was running at 600, so its not just a ti4400 w/8x agp.
secondly, look at the benchmarks w/o aniso/aa for the ti4800, in most games its a little faster than the 9500 pro.

Long live ATI.
