I have a Creative GeForce 4 Ti4800SE 128 DDRAM video card which operates with AGP 8x, but my motherboard goes up to AGP 4x.
Is there a problem with that?
How good or bad Ti4800SE is?
I have a P4 2.4 GHz with 256 DDR / 333 MHz on Asus P4PE and with 3D Mark 2001 I get 8125 3D Marks.
I read the VGA Charts for both Mainstream and Highend Systems and I was disappointed.
Is my pc a highend or a Mainstream system?
Why do I get just 8125 3D Marks?
It's not high from your mark, what you should get is around ~12000
Maybe try to set the AGP speed by yourself, set it to AGP4X.. or change your AGP aperture size
I'm not expert here, I'm not quite sure what can you do with AGP8X, some body here might be able to help you more!all I can tell you is that your 3Dmark is not enough, even my R8500LE got higher than you
The "SE" branded Nvidia chips are slower then the standard chips and use weaker memory(.ns rating)..but I wouldnt be alarmed. You still have a great card. Your 3D Mark score is pretty low though, you should overclock the living piss outa that thing and try again. I'm getting 8803 3D Marks with an 8500LE and a slower FSB. I'm sure you can do better with a little tweaking. Go into your mobo bios and turn your memory cas latency to it's lowest number(mines on two) and see if it makes a difference(or crashes)..go to guru3d.com and download the latest Rivatuner tweak utility and get your tweak on...keep us informed on the outcome, I'm interested in seeing how you do...
