The only mod I would do to that card is throwing it it the garbage.

If you are about to get Radeon 9700 Pro then what you can do is to overclock it as much as you can then watch it burn. Or just sell it to one of your friends for $100 and tell them "Dude, it's a GeForce 4! It's great!"

Yeah, the best mod is to insert them into older computers and play older games....Directx 7 game of course.

You can save yourself some electric bill by playing older games in older machine with older PSU (240W or less) :)

A fine day!

Got jumper cables and a car battery? It will burn all right!

Just for kicks, find an old CPU heatsink and get some Arctic Silver thermal adhesive, and mount that on it.

Then find some big honking northbridge heatsinks and mount those on the memory chips.

I think that would give you adequate cooling to crank up your card a bit.

THEN sell it to your neighbour for $150 and tell him you added the extra cooling as a massive performance booster.

Don't burn(wreck) the card- keep it as a spare, backup.
If you new card ever fails, you can use your old card while you get your new one repaired/replaced.
Also, you could sell it for fifty bucks easily.
