i recently bought a leadtek gf4 ti4800se (A280 TD). now every time i try to run certian games (Aqua nox, cs, others) i blue screen. it dumps to the desktop when i run 3dmark2001 on game 4, 1-3 run fine. blues screens on the tests after game 4. other than games it runs fine (vivo is untested though, nothing to hook it up to (funny thing is, vivo is why i got the card:))

everything was fine before the upgrade, the old gf2 mx400 ran fine. i did a complete reformat and install of windows, tried the newest nvidia drivers and the drivers from leadtek, dx8.1 and 9a. nothing works

system specs:
soltek sl-75drv2
xp1700
512mb crucial pc2100
80gig 8mb cache WD hdd
sblive
linksys 4.1 nic
300w aopen ps
win2k
latest drivers for everything

now for the blue screen msg:

***STOP: 0x0000000A (0x006013D4, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x80453038)
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

***Adress 80453038 base at 80400000, DateStamp 384d9b17 - ntoskrnl.exe

Beginning dump of physical memory

i checked my irqs and all my addin cards share the same irq after i install the drivers for each (before they are on different ones according to however i set them in the bios, or even when i let autoescd do it). but if i'm not mistaken win2k doesn't use irqs the same way as win98 so that really shouldn't matter (other comp shows all addins on same irqs also, and there is no problems on that one (it got the old gf2))

my guess is the 8x agp. my mobo only supports 4x.

i have tried everything i know, except the hammer. i don't really want to have to resort to that as this card cost me a good bit of $$$

any help would be greatly appreciated

Some questions,
do you monitor your mother board voltage and tempurature of both case and cpu?

Does Ti4800 require external power? (Refer to your card's manual.)

Do you o/c your computer?

I think AGP is backward compatible....but make sure you check the FAQ section in nvidia's website for this card.

A fine day!
