Hello,

I want to buy a 17" laptop to replace my secondary gaming computer (an old socket 939 Athlon64@2.2 GHz, 7600GT AGP, 2 GB RAM DDR400). I will also use it on my work trips, mainly to play games on it. The games I'm planning to play on are mainly older games like: Heroes of Might and Magic V, Empire Total War, Civilization 4 (or even 5 if I can play it smoothly on medium details), Blood Bowl, Dirt 2, Street Fighter 4. (not planning on playing them on high settings)

I don't have a brand preference, but I try to avoid Acers because of their low reliability. I plan on keeping it for at least 3 years.

The maximum budget is 2500 lei (about $730), and from what I've seen so far, the best graphics card for this money is a Nvidia GT540M. Storage space is not an issue, so even a 320 GB HDD would do.

The laptop I'm considering buying right now is this: http://www.emag.ro/laptopuri/notebook-asus-k73sv-ty468d-cu-procesor-intel-174-coretm-i3-2310m-210ghz-4gb-750gb-nvidia-geforce-gt-540m-1gb-freedos--pK73SV-TY468D

My main fear is that this GPU will be bottlenecked by the CPU (2.1 GHz is a bit low IMO). I've seen this laptop: http://www.emag.ro/laptopuri/notebook-asus-k73sv-ty426d-cu-procesor-intel-174-coretm-i5-2430m-240ghz-4gb-750gb-nvidia-geforce-gt-540m-1gb-freedos--pK73SV-TY426D
So for 200 lei (about $60) more I could get a Core i5, with an extra 300 MHz and TurboBoost. Do you think it's worth it? Would it make any difference in the above mentioned games?

Do you recommend something else? These are the sites from which I plan to buy:
