Hello everyone, I'm an architecture student and I'm thinking about getting this laptop:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=34-152-266&SortField=0&SummaryType=0&Pagesize=10&PurchaseMark=&SelectedRating=-1&VideoOnlyMark=False&VendorMark=&IsFeedbackTab=true&Page=2#scrollFullInfo

what do you think?
I've been reading a LOT of reviews, so I'm aware of the fact that it doesn't have a caps o num light (wich I don't really care).

I need a monster laptop that can run any CAD and 3D program, so I need as much of RAM and VIDEO as I can get. I know it's a littkle bit expensive, but I'm not planning (or better said my dad it's not planning) on getting another laptop in the next 5 years or so.
It has to be a laptop beacuse I travel a lot, and I do most of my work not at home.

All of your opinions and experiences are very very welcome!

P.S. I really don't know much about computers, so please be gentle haha

Yea it looks fine i went over the specs it should be able to run any of your programs fine although the graphics aren't great i would look for something around a 560-570m for longevity, but yes it will run all your current 3d modelling programs fine. Ultimately the choice is yours but i don't think you can squeeze 5 years out of any laptop, Good luck :D

Nice laptop (although a lot more expensive)

Here are some suggested laptops i got for you, all around the same price point.

ASUS G74SX-NH71 - Has a smaller hard drive but has a faster CPU and more graphics memory (touchpad has some complaints, people recommend a mouse.)

ASUS G53SX-TH71- This is a cheaper laptop with 500mb more graphics memory and .2GHz faster processor 640gb hard drive but only 5400rpm and only has 8gb of ram.

The one you chosen is quiet good, I would take the asus g74sx over yours though. I suggest you read all the reviews i hope i helped :3 but the laptop you picked will work fine :3

I don't think this is the right section though xP

that chart was great help, thank you very much!
I think I will go with the ASUS N55SF-EH71 because of what I said before about the other ASUS models, and because I'm a girl and the MSI computer screams GAMER hahaha.
