I'm on the brink of histeria. My computer crashed a few weeks ago, and after hundreds of dollars and many long hours it's still not working like it use to. I bought and installed a new motherboard, but the only way windows will boot up is if I set the proccessor down to 1250mhz. It's a AMD 2000xp chip, so it should run fine at 1600. But whenever I set the FSB from 100 to 133 windows gives me a lame "windows cannot run because some system file is corrupt". But if I keep it at 1250mhz it's fine. But windows runs noticeably slower and a few programs(such as AOL) won't work. Does anyone have an idea what might be wrong?

Could be a power supply unit or a ram issue, what hardware do you have installed?

Try reseting the Bios to default and apply your changes again to it, but we really need your system hardware spec's.

Try uninstalling AOL and the reinstalling it. Any other advice is going to need all your system component details.
