Ok, so i just got around to bringing a second monitor from home and its nice and small enough to fit on my desk next to my 17" CRT. They are both CRT monitors, but when they are both on, there is some pretty nasty interference. Its probably sitting a good 10-12" away. Is there anything you can really do about that...and should that even be happening?

It sounds like one or both isn't properly shielded. I've worked on both high end and consumer model monitors and have noticed that some are completely shielded while others aren't shielded at all! I always hated working on the completely shielded ones because it was so hard to remove the shielding to get to the internal components, but that shield does have it's merits!

Well you could try making a sheild to put between them.

i was thinking about that, but what material would be suitable for shielding from that kind of interference?
