Hello.

Currently my Windows Server is a Pentium II 350Mhz computer, which I can run
without much cost with a 145 watt power supply.

My question is, what is the lowest rating (in watts) I can use for running
an AMD Athlon 800Mhz system?

The system is minimal, 800 mhz processor, 192mb RAM, single 40gb hard disk,
simple graphics + sound card, floppy drive, zip drive, optical drive +
network card.

No external peripherals other than the odd USB flash device.

Thanks for any feedback.

You may want to check AMD's web site to see if they have any information.
We certainly don't here, since this newsgroup only supports Microsoft's
Broadband Networking hardware and software.

If it's a Socket A CPU then it will be a mimimun of 350watt. If it's a Slot
A CPU. you may be able to get away with 250watt.
