9700 Non pro.

Ok, I know Ati is the winner now. Im VERY impressed with Ati lately, especially the 9600's turnout.

But, in all reality Ive had problems with Ati's lately, and because Im on my nvidia nforce2 board, Id like to get an nvidia card. I like Ati, and my next motherboard will hopefully work better because so far I cant play games with 9700 Pro, 9700 or 9500 modded. But my MX440 and Ti4200 works. Its a motherboard thing...

but I dont want advice on my problem.. I want this question answered. Honestly, how does the 9700NP compare to the Ti4600? Close?

One drawback is the 9700NP is DX9, not the Ti4600... But let me know everyone...
Or the Ti4800SE, since thats cheaper than 4600.. Though its GPU is slower clocked, but faster memory clock...

Ok let me know.

Dang, that just makes me even more mixed.. The Ti4600 won in some, but when the Radeon won it REALLY won....

Ti4600 considerably cheaper at Newegg.com... Oh the descisions.....

look at it this way

your investing money

by purchasing the 9700, your garanteed great performance in todays games, and very very good performance in future games...

as for the Nvidia card, you will get very very good performance in todays games, and no support in furture games

O.O

I look at it this way.

WHen the 4600 beats the 9700, it's with no AA or anistropic filtering. Both cards yield 100+ fps easily, and that framerate is beyond our ability to percieve a difference with the human eye.

Turn on AA and anistropic filtering however, and the 4600's framerates will be half of the 9700s. At low framerates like that, there is a very percievable difference.
