I'm really sick, tired, (insert here whatever) from PTW questions like
is this or that or, .... PTW ?
Just use your brain and ask yourself: "Why is this rule here ?"
My opinion is that this rule is here to make game esp on tournaments
playable for everyone. You can ask isn't it and I say no. Why, because
on tournaments it is common (don't say me it isn't because I have
experiences) that locals gang up against foreigners and they find
argument why they must do something to them, but what they want is not
to win but to help their friends to win. I have experiences with this,
it hapens also in my community, it hapens in other comunities as well.
And I think this is BAD. Your goal in this game is not to help others
but to WIN and you shoul try to do this. I have no problems with
someone doing whatever he wants (rushing cross table, voting cross
table to get rid of another political deck, but only if he wins not
when he is doing so to help his friend to win). There are so many ways
to excuse your actions against PTW rule that it is almost not
effective.
I know even case when judge stops player from getting rid of cross
table player which was only one who can stop from winning my friend
(because he decided that this is not playing to win) - that judge was
local same as my friends opponent. My friend was killed by him in next
round (it was weenie anarch revolt deck - so my friend was killed
indirectly). My friend have enough firepower to kill him - anarchist
uprising (and destroy all of his anarch revolts at the same time, but
not enough minions to get rid of his anarch revolts, so killing him
was only way to win - so he was playing with PTW rule in mind)
So I call all players think about how are you playing this game and
try to win YOURSELF. This rule is to mention this to YOU.
