Dear Linson Chan,

The GeForce FX5200 is much faster than GeForce 3 Ti200.

They're just trying to grab your money. AFAIK GF3 is better than the GF4 mx series and the 5200 performs equal and sometimes even lower than the 440MX so i dont see why the 5200 can be "much faster" than the GF3 really. If you really want an upgrade look for something like the 9500pro or the Ti4200-8x

Yeah, the FX5200 should be about the same speed as a GeF3 Ti200 (rough estimate) without the AA/AF turned on. It will be faster with AA/AF turned on, but that will cause a considerable performance hit regardless (I doubt you want to run your current games slower than you currently are!).

A Radeon 9500 Pro would be an excellent upgrade, but a GeF4 Ti4200 would also give you measurable improvement (but only worth it if you get a really good deal on the card).

Where does good judgement come from? Experience. Where does experience come from? Bad judgement.
