P.S. The translation was done by a German member of Beyond3D. The part that say's 20-80 percent faster than a 9800Pro, according to Nvidia...should be taken with a grain of salt, but could very well be true.

This looks extremely interesting, 20% is nothing to laugh about, if it's at standard resolutions. Improved AA/Aniso, a must for nVidia now.

How will it cool?
Will there be mid-range versions soon?
16*12, 90% of the population don't care for that, we need to know if the results hold up in 10*768 as well, in standard gaming.

These are the questions that matter above all.

Is Nvidia going to release consumer cards off this core? We all know that the top of the line vid card is for bragging rights, and that very few people actually buy them. A card manufacture makes all of it's money off mid/low range cards. Nvidia releases this card, claims the performance title again, but still loses because their mid/low range cards get wasted by ati. I think this card is just so they can get some face back.

Also, I believe that their using the 64bit Detonator driver in that benchmark, with a single cpu...strange..

does anybody know anything about the actual cooling on the nv35(ie. are they gonna use ajet engine again to keep it cool)?

Check Gen's other post, it has pictures of the NV35 and it appears they will use a VERY large heatsink, and then a PRO style fan from the Quadro line (or so it seems).

Then you can see that it still takes up 2 slots, at least the pre production ones. They say that the retail ones will only take up 1 slot. The heatsink/fan'll probably have to be reduced..

I actually like the two slot thing....It assures me that the thing is getting better cooling.

One mans throw-away is another mans god-box. Help friends in need, I always do!!
Then again, having extra parts are great for making dedicated servers for LAN parties!!!!

Wonder if the 2D quality will be as good as Radeon.

If you haven't noticed, the GF FX 5x00s already have the same 2D quality as Radeons card due to the use of a 400MHz RAMDAC.

3D IQ is still a completely different thing...

BTW, the latest information on the nv35 indicates now that nvidia has upped the clockrate of the memory from 425MHz to 450MHz. That's 28.8 Gb/s raw bandwidth! Not bad for DDR I RAM.

Weren't you the mr knowall who argued against me before the nv30 release that raw bandwith didn't matter?
Just cause they are both using 400mhz ramdac doesn't mean they are using the same!
