I'll probably get flamed by some ATI fan-boys but...
Why do ppl think that a 2 slot card is so bad? I'm mean, a lot of us have enough slots to spare anyways and any high performance card should have an empty slot next to it to aid air flow.
A lot of ppl (as was I) were disappointed in the nv30's performance and used the 2 slot req as another excuse to say it sucked. Now with the nv35 coming next week, I hope ppl will look at what's important: performance (and price).
Personally, I don't care if it's an ATI or nVidia card in my machine - as long as it KICK ASS!
If ppl buy (for example) ATI cards even though the nVidia card is better (again, this is an example, don't get hysterical), then there would be nothing pushing ATI to make a better card. In the end, we the consumers win (well, ATI and nVidia get super rich...) because ATI and nVidia have make better and better cards.
So try to look at every new card objectivly and buy the card, not the name.
...here comes the flames...
