when it comes to Video cards there are a boat load makers. Unfortunalty, the place where i buy my hardware only offers for the ATI cards, the Built by ATI and the sapphire.

I can't think of all the companies off hand at the moment.

But if you were to choose one maker, who would it be, and why?

In the end i chose the 9500Pro by Sapphire, as i will not be attemping any OCing on it and for the options i have to choose from, the ATI is more... and i can't see why.
and going to the 9700pro is out of my price range.

I'll be getting my machine friday :)

dah, has any body seen my paints?

I thought I could live without overclocking my 9500Pro too....but the first fuckking night, I was building a boot disk to flash the bios...I couldnt stand to let the extra performance that overclocking delivers slip away..

LOL @ Genetic... yeah me too, cept I got a R9700 np

cdpage: If the Sapphire one is the black PCB with their HSF, I'd go for that one. Otherwise doesn't matter. That HSF seems to cool better so yeah. Sapphire makes most of the BBA cards anyways, so don't worry about which one you get.

...And all the King's horses and all the King's men couldn't put my computer back together again...
