Does anybody here have any experience with the PNY GeForce4 Ti4800? What's in the box? Performance, etc.?
I can't seem to find any reviews about it, so any bit of help would be welcome..

Thanks..

That's another thing, supposedly there is a difference between the 4800SE and the 4800 are there really any available 4800's? How do they compare with the 4800SE's?

well what I've learned is that a Ti4800 is a Ti4600 with AGP 8x, whereas a Ti4800 SE also has AGP8x, but clocks at lower core speeds (god knows why). At the moment I am looking at that particular PNY (the only manufacturer that uses it, as far as I can tell) and a Gainward Ti4800 SE..same price really..the only differences are the core speeds....and of course I am in two minds...lol. So any advice is welcome...

Yah I knew that, the 4800se is a 4400 or 4200 at 8x (can't remember which off top of my head), but I've seen a ton of se's but not many straight 4800... wondering if anyone bothered making any.

I found that too...like I said just PNY and I could only found one online retailer that sells them (in Britain). That's why I'm a little cautious...

Ti4800 = Ti4600 8x AGP
Ti4800SE = Ti4400 8x AGP

But the Ti4200 is just Ti4200 8x...
Another thing to add is that the original 4200 had a 64mb and a 128mb version, where the 64mb was FASTER than the 128mb version because the memory was faster. But the Ti4200 8x 128mb is faster than the Ti4200 4x 64mb, so don't get the 4x AGP version.

You don't see many "straight" Ti4800 because the SE is cheaper and not that much slower. But you do still see old ti4600 because ppl buy the cheaper ti4400 (or ti4800se) instead, so stores wanna get rid of their old ti4600 before they get ti4800 (only dif is the 8x AGP anyways...).
