Here is a deck with a concept I ripped of shamelessly from Ruben Van
Cauwenberghe. It uses Free state rant to remove blood and Edged Illusion to
send vampires to torpor. Its offense is also its defence, because both cards
can be used against your predator. Any suggestions on how to improve it?
Cards to take out for Society of Leopold?

Since all of your vampires are group 2, and Edged Illusions costs 2
blood:

Take out one of every vampire except Ezmerelda and add 3 Gabrin.

Replace the Tension in the Ranks and the Ravnos Carnivals with Paths
of Paradox.

Your combat is weak, so any half decent rush deck (grapple) or
intercept combat deck (telepathic tracking) will be all over your
minions. I would definitely consider some Apparitions.

I would also go with Minion Taps instead of Blood Dolls, as the huge
blood swing possible with Free States Rant and Bewitching Oration
Voter Captivation will be the only thing allowing you to get more than
2 vampires in play.

So agreed. But I'd also consider a g3-4 version of it, since there's
smaller vampires with [pre] for support and 1 more titled bigcap, and
would include a few Fatuus Mastery to avoid the need for many masters
(less Carnivals, less Paths). You also get less [CHI] and a Red List,
but you'll probably have more minions and will become the target fo the
table once the trick is pulled for the first time, so it balances out.
In short, here's a concept where I'd resist the temptation to include
Sensory Deprivations and open space to include 1-2 Bujo (depending on
metagame issues) and 1-2 Shared Nightmares (since you're aiming at
voting at stealth and reducing Chimestry costs anyway).

This will make the deck a little slower, but less vulnerable to the
regular issues a big-cap crypt usually faces (die horribly to a fast
predator, be it rush or weenie vote or sneaky bleed or weenie [obf]
or...)

I'm building a deck like this and will post it if it merits some
attention. If it fails miserably, probably I'll post some whinings too
:D

best,

I was already considering this. But an 8 cap without presence...But -like
said below- with minion taps it might be worth it.

right. How could I forget the path?

but what to take out? As it stands, if falls flat against a real rush deck.
But adding a bit of defence won't change that much.

The pre isn't important on the smaller minions. I want the FSR to be played
by 9 caps at least. And Hazimels 1 vote won't change that much.

If I add Gabrin and the paths, as The Lasombra suggested I might use Shared
Nightmares, but for the rest it's quite an expensive card. And the SD are
actually very good in this deck. the biggest problem are the very big vamps
who take too long to empty by FSR or get filled up by voter caps. Sensory
Deprivation stops them.

actually, this deck LOVES weenie decks. FSR is a very good anti weenie card,
so is Edged illusion. well, unless they can bleed someone to death in 4
turns.

Hi, all--

I am also working on a Edged Illusion based deck. Right now, it's just
a sketch. I haven't been able to test it yet (maybe this Saturday) or
think a lot about cards ratio and such.

The crypt is quite high, mostly because I chose vampires with ANI and
CHI in the first place (because I would want to use most of the cards
at superior anyway). Maybe this can be improved, though.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Illusions of the Kindred. You are already set up to handle playing
expensive Chimestry cards, so you can handle playing this one, too. You
have a combined pool of 14 dodge/s:ce to play against the Psyche/TT
crowd, and this card shores you up against grapple. And of course it's
the most powerful defensive combat card in the game.
