Should i wait for the GeForce 5900?

Hi
I want to upgrade my graphic board from the Matrox G-400 to a radeon 9800 or a GeForce 5900. The thing is, i have an Athlon XP 1900+ on an MSI KT333 mainboard. Is this system able to get the best from these cards?

not the most out of them by any means. but you will see a dramatic increase in modern games especially with either of those cards


i think you need at least a 2500+ athlong or 2.53p4@533 to see close enuff to the highest cards can perform.

GeForceFX 5900 Ultra may be the fastest graphic but it is the most expensive one, plus it is not available yet. If you are really look into the fastest card I say you should wait until FX5900U in the market and have a fair round up with R9800P then you make your decission. If you can't wait any longer then get R9800P, which will definitely not dissapoint your pocket.
And your system will work fine on both card, fine but not great.

but XP1900+ is still "good" enough..don't worry about it if u don't have enough money
