GeForce4 Ti 4200 with DX 9-->

I was wondering if anyone has installed DX 9 on a 4200 Ti successfully. I have VisionTek's 128MB model. I've read that Nvidia's new Det. FX 44.03 is only certified for their new FX line. It just doesn't make any sense why Vice City and the Matrix Rel. game require DX 9, and only the owners of the elite cards with DX 9 compatibility can play them. I have read some postings where the Det. FX drivers have not worked on GeForce 4s.

Does anybody have any hard facts?

I have a G4 Ti4200 128meg 8x card running stable as a Nun with DX9. I also run Vice City just as stable. One thing...you will have to run the new 3D Mark 2003 Benchmarks as the older version will not function under DX9. I havent tried the new FX drivers as I dont own an FX card. But I hear they do wonders for those owning such cards. Goodluck

Ya dude, DX9 will run fine and dandy on ur ti4200, it just dosnt have HARDARE DX9 support, but neither of those games require DX9 hardware to run (you just get screwed out of some features and speed).
Use the 41.09s or the 42.xx or the 43.45s.
All those worked fine for me (till i got my 9800 PRO!!), but I had the most experience with the 41.09s and they always worked good and were faster than the old ones.

Willamette...the Ti4200 supports DX9...
But it's not DX9 compliant. There is a difference.
