Graphics card choice

My dad wants to buy a graphics card, but he doesn't want to spend a lot. He wants to spend around CAN$100 (US$74). What cards should I get?

Neways, your 2 choices are a GeForce 4 ti4200, which you can find for 80 quite often, or a Radeon 8500LE (or 9100) which should cost about the same.

So a BIT over ur dads cheapo limit, but he can eat the extra 10 bux AHAHAH!

OH YEAH OOPS!!
Out of those two i would definately pick the GeForce 4 Ti4200, which can usually be had for $79 (US) at BEST BUY!!! OH WAIT!! YOURE FROM CANADA! Do they have Best Buy up there?
Neways they have Frys dont they? I think Frys also has em for 80 sometimes.
Or you could l00x0r on the INTARWEAB!

5200 is a pathetic card. your getttin DX9 at MX440 speeds. go for it its your money

You don't need an expensive, high tech G/C for most graphic aplications.

Forget about the posers braging about there high spec cards!

Refer to the T/H graphic charts for a good idea.

$100 will get you a good card.

It's alright. We all get to bask in the glory of having a recent graphics card--for about six months. That's why braggin about benchmark scores (while fun) is pretty useless. What's great today is mainstream tomorrow.
