Peformance difference between two laptops.

Hi guys! I'm looking for some advice on laptops, and i think i may have found the one, however, their are a few different models of it. I was hoping you guys could help me and tell me just about how much of a performance difference i would see between the two.

The main uses for my laptop would be word processing, programming C++, internet surfing, watching videos, and light gaming (Things like TF2, mass effect, limbo, etc)

More about peformance difference laptops
  1. A couple of side notes:

-The laptops are thin and pretty light which make them pretty portable
    - 14 inches is about as big as i want to go ( i know the res isn't great buy i dont mind)
    - I've heard the battery life on them is great

Just the processor difference i'm really worried about.
  2. Anyone have any ideas on the differences?
  3. if your doing coding i would really suggest finding an hd screen. you can get a lot more lines of code on the screen that way.

other then that the second one will be faster in everything
