CPU Hog

Does anyone know if CPU Hog will work on 64-bit processors, and if there are any programs like it you can set to max out the cpu at boot?

cpu hog I remeber stopped apps from overloading the proc and locking up Windows, if you want to enable all cores at Windows boot, do this, Start, Accessories, Run(right click, run as admin), type msconfig, hit enter, open the boot tab, Advanced options, in the next box, put a check in Number of Processors, select the number of cores that you want to use during boot, hit OK, in the next box Apply, when the box closes it will say that you need to restart the computer, pick now or later. good luck

Umm, is that safe like cpuhog? I tried cpu hog and it doesn't do anything on 64 bit computers apparently.

is it safe, HMmm MSFT put it there for a reason, it's not like it's 3rd party or something, I use it, does it work on a 64 bit computers, only if the box is there in msconfig

Do you run windows 7 pro or ultimate? They can run both 64 and 32 bit programs.

when I googled "cpu hog" a program with the same name came back as a result and it claimed to only load the cpu for thermal/etc testing.

can't you just use prime95 for that?
