Well, yet another failed attempt at retrieving the "coveted" Sandwich
from Chicago by Lafayette failed. Alas, the Sandwich stays. Oh, well.
Going into the final round, Eric Simon and Tim Arehart were tied for
fifth place. To break the tie, a 30-sided die was rolled, with the
highest person advancing to the final. Eric Simon rolled a 3, sure
that he was not going to the final. Tim rolled the die, and rolled a
1. There was much laughing, pointing, and mocking.
So, the standings going into the final round were:
1st Boris Zaretsky 1GW, 5VP
2nd Cody Goodrich 1GW, 5VP
3rd Aaron Miller 1GW, 4VP
4th John Flournoy 1GW, 3VP
5th Eric Simon 0GW, 2VP
After much clawing, scratching, and biting, the final results came in.
John came out with one VP while Boris came out with the remaining four.
The final standings were:
1st Boris Zaretsky
2nd John Flournoy
3rd Cody Goodrich
4th Aaron Miller
5th Eric Simon
Thanks again to the Chicago-nanigans for coming down to attend out
tournament. It was an event that was fun for all!
