I'm getting mixed messages about which card to get. Some say that 9100 is better, but it has a clock of 250/230. The radeon 9000 pro has a clock of 275/275. Which is better for my system? I play mostly shooters like metal of honor and counter-strike.

Buy R9100. It's better than R9000 Pro. R9000 Pro has much worse fillrate.

Buy the 64 MB version. 128 MB is completely waste for R9100/R9000 card. You can't play latest games with this card @ 1600 x 1200 res. or can play games with FSAA (Because both cards have very poor fillrate performance). So you don't need more than 64 MB

i can get a 9100 for 63 dollars and the geforce 4200 would cost me 96 dollars. these are the prices for 64mb versions for both cards. is the 33 dollars extra worth it?

NONE, NONE AT ALL!!! Those two are junk. Some of the card feature are not firmware but software, which means that the performance of the card also depends on the performance of you system. Just spend a few more bucks and get the ti4200 or get the radeon 8500 (retail version), if you are staying in that range. Belive me I crap you not when I say that the Radeon 8500 is way better than the 9000 or 9100.

If you are into the FPS games, then you are into graphics and performance. Personally I would get the ti4600. Go on Ebay and you can get them really cheap. Who cares if they may be used, they come with a LIFETIME waranty.

thanks for all the assistance. This forum is awesome. I would get a ti4600 if I could afford it. The ti4200 seems like the best deal for the price and what it has to offer.
