AT my local Frys Electronics, they have two Rad 9800 cards one from VisionTek
http://www.visiontek.com/9800_pro.html
and onother one from FIC
http://www.fica.com/site/html/products/agp/detail.asp?cat_id=240000184&C_ID=240000610

Both base on the same 9800 pro chip (Is there non pro version? What is the difference? lower core/memory speed?)
Both hvae 128mb. I did not like the cooler on FIC card and I have not seen the photo of VisionTek one. Can anybody provide any input/reviews/opinions on these cards (which one should I buy- they are both 399) Also I assume they do not come with any software. At least nothing is mentioned on the boxes.

I don't think there's a 9800 non-pro planned.

As far as the FIC/Visiontek versions go, find out what kind of memory they are using. That'd be the best way to decide between them.

Likely, there won't be any notable difference tho.

Yeah they do have nonpros. They offer the, in the $2800 Dell Dimension XPS "Gamer" system. Dells are way too freakin' expensive. $2800 and they don't even give you a 9800 Pro.

Hey man, get the Hercules 9800pro.
Not sure where they're being sold right now, maybe hercules.com

Prolly cost the most of any 9800pro, but they sure do look nice. ;)

I bought the Built-by-ATI 9800 PRO at Best Buy for $399. It's the best price I've seen on that card...

You're right--when you remove it from the case in order to RMA it for a factory defect, it'll look great! Of course, on the screen, no difference.
