Problem Description:
HI,

I have a problem capturing audio using the ATI MediaCentre 8.5 PVR, I've checked all my connections and I can watch media files,TV,DVD, CD's etc with no problems. I haved used the 'initialisation wizard' but when I select the 'Line Input'option then click 'Next' it keeps switching to the 'Mic Input' option for audio recording. I am using XP Pro (SP1), i've been into the control panels and checked the correct recording source is selected and the level is turned up. I've been to the ATI site and installed the Catalyst 3.4 suite (i followed the installation instructions to the letter). I have Directx 9.0a & Media Encoder 7.01.00.3055 installed. But still no joy, could anyone help please i've been trying to get this to work for the last 3 days now. Many Thanks.

Kind Regards
Dean

We truly did not need all that crap about your system but oh well. Did you connect the audio through cable that most tv and capture cards have? It should say something like audio out and use an ATAPI cable and connector to your soundcard
