I can't read text when it is not in the middle of the screen in dx programs with my evga gf2 mx200 Does anyone know why it would do this? my monitor is a kds vs70 and it is running at a 60hrtz refresh rate which is fine with my flurescent lighting usually. This only happens in dx games and it does it on other peoples monitors too so I assume it is a problem with the card. Is there anyway to fix this?

try this but not sure whether it can help:

on the gf card properties, under the AA setting tab, there is a box for you to check on texture sharpening. try checking it and rerun the dx programs again.

I've already tried that setting. It does not fix the problem.

I think it really depends on monitor - on my old 14'' monitor 75Hz does not flicker, on my new (well, 2 years old)SyncMaster 755DF it does, 85Hz is _minimum_ I can work with, but 100Hz is lowest really comfortable.
I have some really old B&W VGA monitors, which seem to work just fine even at 60Hz - no flickering detected. Few month ago I was configuring printer in Windows 3.1 with such monitor connected :).

What resolution are you running at? Higher resolution probably cannot turn up the refresh rate (eg, 17" monitor can only run 60Hz at 1280x1024).

Bother to try another driver to see if other driver fixes the problem?

I'm running 1280x1024, I really don't notice a differance between refresh rates though and I need a high res.
