ok, hi every1, here is the thing, i had WINDOW'S on my computer, but i started playing around with it and i istalled LINUX, after that it got all crazy and stoped working. I tried to re-install WINDOW'S but because of LINUX my comp also got this LILO thing wich made impossible for my to re-install WINDOWS. After trying and trying i got to put windo's version 3.1 wich.... huh.. is not cool at all, and now my computer lost it's cd-rom driver and is not taking cd (of course) which makes it impossible to install windows from a CD and i don't know how to configurate it so i can install windows from internet or someting...........so here is the thing, what can i do, to get window's ( a more advanced one than version 3.2, something like XP or even 98 sound fine) in my computer again?? and how do i get my cd-rom driver back? please help!!!!!!!!!!!
firstly we are going to hav to find the website for your cdrom manufacturer and download dos drivers for your cdrom.
once you have these saved to a floppy disk then reboot in dos and go to the "A" prompt and install the drivers. Now you have a cdrom reinsert the wincd version that you want to install go to the "d" prompt and run setup.exe this should initiate a reinstall of your desired os.
Please anyond jump in if i have omited anything.
also you didnt mention it but you did create another partition on your HDD for your linux os install, i hope?
