I am no good at disiphering how good a video card is.

how does the

AMD Radeon HD 7690M

compare to the

NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M

which is better and by how much?

Radeon HD 7690M is better - and by a very nice amount.
HD 7690M is better compared to GT 555M performance.

Well as of now its like Comparing Chickens to Cows. Since Kepler Mobile chips are barely discussed and if at all being produced for mobile laptops. So right now i am sure the 7690 is better. The Gt 540 is slower than a GT 430. But i with All respect choose NVIDIA over AMD just because NVIDIA is a good company, They want to improve and create new. AMD is also respected by me for their CPU's. I have no experience with their Video cards except when ATI was long ago ATI

Like i said i really suck at comparing cards i dont know what to judge by. I would of guessed that the nvidia 540 was better do to much higher shader and memory speed. can you please tell me why the radeon hd 7690 is the better of the cards and if it will play bf3 and skyrim as well as diablo 3 at decent performance at medium graphics?
